Protecting the site

The priority is to halt the degradation of the site and the theatre, protect it for the future, and improve its current condition to sustain new development.

This work is extensive and includes a number of multi-million pound infrastructure contracts: replacement of sheet piling and new sea defences, upgrading and replacement of the local area utility networks including electric, gas, water and sewerage. Without significant elements of this work, the site will eventually become unstable and dangerous.
