Colliers Robert Barry appointed to find hotel operator for Pavilion & Ferry Terminal site... Specialist hotel and licensed property agents, Colliers Robert Barry, have had a very successful year in Weymouth, crowned by the recent instruction to find a 4-star hotel operator for the town. In 2006 they have sold the renowned Perry’s Restaurant on a new lease, they also acted for the owners of a second restaurant in a discreet, and most significantly, they acted for the sellers of the 110 bedroom Riviera Hotel, a landmark in Bowleaze Cove on the northern edge of the bay. In addition to these successes they have recently been instructed to find a buyer for another hotel in the town. The icing on the cake for 2006 has been Howard Holdings instruction for Colliers Robert Barry to find an operator to run a new 4 star hotel as the centrepiece of the 10 Acre mixed use redevelopment of the Pier and Ferry Terminal site. A hotel of this quality will be a first for the town and it will directly overlook the proposed 350 berth Marina situated between Weymouth’s famous beach and the historic harbour. A successful conclusion to the draft masterplan later this year will enable the campaign to get underway in earnest early in 2007. “I first came to Weymouth 15 years ago for a dinghy regatta, and I fell in love with the place there and then. It’s been an absolute pleasure to be able to provide advice and help to owners of businesses in the town and I am looking forward to a long association with Weymouth” said Simon Wells of Colliers Robert Barry who has dealt with all of the above.
