A multifunctional space, which can provide for a range of uses will be created.

This multi-functional arts and performance space will also have acoustic separation, enabling it to be used as a performance venue at the same time as the main Theatre Auditorium is in use - a major advantage to existing and new user groups.

Improvements in efficiency will be achieved through reductions in wasted space and more efficient buildings that use less energy. Reduced duplication and greater utilisation of the facilities all combine to improve the range of public facilities and reduce the subsidy to maintain the existing Pavilion Complex, which currently costs each council tax payer £50 per year.
