Research and survey results
Howard Holdings has commissioned studies, research and testing, which are informing the evolving design process:
- Impacts on the marine environment over a wide area
- The impact of a marina on the beach, the bay and other operations in the harbour: stages 1 and 2 complete, stage 3, involving a major computer study and a marine survey, will be completed July 2007
- Maximising the theatre’s potential following advice from specialist consultants
Further research has also completed including:
- A land-based site investigation
- Marine-based investigations considering biodiversity and sea bed conditions
- Further detailed beach impact modelling
- Continued liaison with the Environment Agency, English Nature, English Heritage and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE)
